This afternoon we were lead in a celebration of the events of Jesus’ death and resurrection by the Grade 7 and 8 class. Wonderful job, students!

We wish everyone a wonderful long weekend, reflecting on the love and sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour!

The Grades 7 and 8 took part in the annual basketball tournament on Friday.

Our girls team won 1 game, and the boys team won 2 games. Both teams placed 4th overall in the tournament. Well done, students! And thank you to our amazing coaches as well!

A Surprise for Miss Vanleeuwen!

Posted on 29 March 2023 in Events

Miss Vanleeuwen is getting married DV on Friday, and staff and students were able to celebrate with her this morning with a Wedding Shower!

Students worked hard making plans to keep the celebration a surprise for Miss Vanleeuwen. They got very creative finding an excuse to get her to the gym without her knowing that all the students were hiding there, quietly waiting for her arrival. She was so surprised! Nice job everyone!

Parents and students contributed to a group gift. Miss Vanleeuwen was presented with a beautiful sign, which students and staff had signed on the back, and a monetary gift for her to use toward a purchase for her new home.

Students then helped Miss Vanleeuwen practice for her Big Day by participating in a “Put A Ring On It” relay race.

The celebration was wrapped up with cupcakes for everyone!

Congratulations, Miss Vanleeuwen! We can’t wait to celebrate with you on Friday. We pray that the Lord will bless your marriage to Mr. Bouwers!

A Look Back at a Busy Week…

Posted on 11 March 2023 in Events

This past school week was jam-packed with lots of special days and activities!

Students and staff got to wear crazy socks and/or slippers, show their creativity with some fantastic book character costumes, don their favourite hats, and spend lots of time with some good books while buddy reading and participating in “Stop, Drop and Read!” Finally, the whole week was wrapped up with a skating afternoon at Grand Valley arena.

Thank you so much to everyone who was involved in making this busy week so enjoyable for all! Below are some pictures that capture a little of the fun.

Last week the Grade 7/8 class also held the Science Fair. Congratulations to all the students…your hard work really showed in all of your science experiments, studies and innovations!

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…
