School Pictures – Sept 21st

Posted on 20 September 2021 in Events

Don’t forget to bring your smiles on Tuesday, September 21st!

Our wonderful school photographer Kayla will be at the school on Tuesday to take class photos. Pictures will be taken outside weather-permitting – please dress accordingly.

Some Fun Facts or tips from Kayla for picture day:
• Photos will take place outside.
• Try to avoid slogans, logos and big patterns on picture day.
• I take a head and shoulder pose and a waist and up shot so plan the whole outfit.
• Make sure you tell your kids (especially the girls) how you want their hair for photos.
• Try practicing all those beautiful smiles the night before.

First Day of School 21/22!

Welcome to our new school year!

We are very excited to be back, and our prayer is that we will be able to stay in school this year. You may have noticed the theme text for this year. We will be focusing on what these words of the apostle Paul mean for our tasks at school and elsewhere in all sorts of circumstances.

Our rooms and hallways have been polished and decorated. They are awaiting the students.

We invite you to come to our opening assembly today at 9:00am in the gym. Be mindful of the regular COVID precautions.

May the Lord bless our school year!

Dunking Day!

Today is Day 4 in Wet and Wild Week!

Use your teeth to catch your floating prize! (Make sure there’s someone with you when you do this challenge.)

Fill a container with water and put some floating objects in it – things you’d like to put in your mouth, Apples, pears, fun-sized chocolate bars and packaged candy all work. Then put your hands behind your back and grab one of the objects using only your teeth!

Want a challenge? Put sinkers in the water instead of floaters!

Submit your pictures to studentscouncil@mydacs.ca or via WhatsApp to Mrs. Cathy Jonker. And be sure to check out the Student Council website to view everyone’s pictures! (If you don’t want your picture posted online let them know when you submit it.)

Don’t forget…by participating you earn points for your team and if you participate on all 4 days you get a treat bag!

TOMORROW is a catch-up day! If you missed any of the challenges you can do them tomorrow and submit the pictures to earn points and treats! Have fun!
