What's Happening @ DACS?

During the week of Monday, March 6th to March 10th we are encouraging students to POP OPEN A GOOD BOOK!

This is a school-wide activity to promote literacy as a life-long daily habit. More information came home with students last week.

Special events include:
* Tuesday, March 7th: “Reading will knock your socks off’ (Wear your craziest socks or bring your slippers for indoors today)
* Wednesday, March 8th: “Book Character Dress-Up Day” (Dress up like one of the characters in your favourite book)
* Thursday, March 9th: “Hats off for Reading” (Wear your favourite hat to school today)

We are looking forward to a fun and eventful week! Happy reading, students!

Come out for a fun night of desserts and games THIS Friday, February 24th starting at 6:30 in the DACS gym!

There will be a great selection of desserts to choose from. Gluten free, sugar free & dairy free options will be available as well. Dutch Groceries will be available for purchase by cash or e-transfer. A large variety of games will be ready for you to play with your family and friends. See you there!

The students at DACS had an enjoyable afternoon of games and sweet treats on Thursday.

Due to the weather, the activities were held inside. Students participated in competitive games of Mat Ball, Rock Paper Scissors, Tic Tac Toe and Hangman. Thank you to the Student Council for organizing the events, the parents who made cupcakes and the PTA for providing hot chocolate!

This Thursday afternoon is Snow Fest!

Due to the weather we’ll spend the afternoon competing in some fun indoor activities! During the afternoon the PTA will also be providing hot chocolate to go with the cupcakes parents are providing. Thank you, PTA for organizing this!
