What's Happening @ DACS?

This week is going to be extra special and extra fun!

On Tuesday bring your bowls and spoons for our first SOUP DAY of the year! A perfect treat for these cold snowy days!

On Thursday we will be having CUPCAKES for a treat and the Student Council has organized our very first FUN DAY! Come to school wearing your team colours. Most activities will be done outdoors, so come dressed for the weather. Thank you, Student Council, for your hard work planning this!

Parents: need to check if you are bringing soup or cupcakes? Want to know what team your child is on? Check the most recent newsletter – available via email or accessible via your MyDACS login.

Don’t forget to bring your smiles on Tuesday, September 21st!

Our wonderful school photographer Kayla will be at the school on Tuesday to take class photos. Pictures will be taken outside weather-permitting – please dress accordingly.

Some Fun Facts or tips from Kayla for picture day:
• Photos will take place outside.
• Try to avoid slogans, logos and big patterns on picture day.
• I take a head and shoulder pose and a waist and up shot so plan the whole outfit.
• Make sure you tell your kids (especially the girls) how you want their hair for photos.
• Try practicing all those beautiful smiles the night before.

Welcome to our new school year!

We are very excited to be back, and our prayer is that we will be able to stay in school this year. You may have noticed the theme text for this year. We will be focusing on what these words of the apostle Paul mean for our tasks at school and elsewhere in all sorts of circumstances.

Our rooms and hallways have been polished and decorated. They are awaiting the students.

We invite you to come to our opening assembly today at 9:00am in the gym. Be mindful of the regular COVID precautions.
