What's Happening @ DACS?

We are so excited to once again be able to have an in-person Closing Assembly! Please join us on June 16 starting at 2:45pm.

We will get a small glimpse of the grace and goodness of God over the past school year, and get a chance to say goodbye to the Grade 8 graduating class before they go on their Fair Glen adventure.

We will also find out which of the school teams has won the desired ‘Rubber Chicken Award’!

We hope to see you in attendance!

This Wednesday, June 8, will be Career Day!

Dress up as your favourite career! Will it be a fireman? Doctor? Farmer? Carpenter? Circus Performer?

We’re looking forward to seeing all kinds of interesting outfits!
The Student Council

The students have been working hard and are ready to compete! If you have time, please come by and cheer our students on!

The field day event schedule was sent out as an attachment with the Newsletter email and is also loaded in the “Newsletter” fold on MyDACS.

Here is a list of things to keep in mind for the day:
➔ Lunches: Please remember to pack your children a nutritious lunch with good snacks to help fuel their bodies for the day. Remember to LABLE all water bottles!
➔ Sunscreen/bug spray: The forecast looks good! If you need your child to apply sunscreen throughout the day, please send it along. Mosquitos are also out, so some bug spray might also come in handy.
➔ A hat would be a good idea as well!

Volunteers: Thank you for your help!
➔ Morning and all-day volunteers please check in at the library at 8:45am
➔ Afternoon volunteers please check in at the library at 12:35pm.

We are so excited to be planning another season of summer soccer! 

The season will be running Tuesday nights (July 5^th to August 30^th) at the Amaranth Township fields starting at 6:45pm.  Children entering Kindergarten in September through the current Grade 8 class are welcome to join us!

In order to organize all the details, like shirts and teams, we need a complete roster of soccer players.  Please remember to send in your child(ren)’s registration form and payment to a member of the DACS Soccer League by Friday, May 6th. A copy of the registration form can be found in the “Soccer Forms” folder in your MyDACS portal.

We are also looking for consistent, dedicated coaches and people willing to ref for all ages.  This is a great opportunity for students to earn some community hours! Please contact one of us if you are interested.
